April 14, 2016 Called to Serve

Elder Richard Olin Stewart, Jr. Sister Deborah Kay Stewart Jamaica Kingston Mission August 2016 - July 2018 April 14, 2016 Vancouver, Washington After gathering all the children and grandchildren either in person or by Skype or FaceTime, we opened our mission call letters. There were tears and cheers as we announced our call to serve as Jamaica Kingston Welfare Country Office Missionaries. What an emotional evening. We had been praying, planning, and preparing to be able to serve as full-time missionaries for so many years, and now our desire to serve was realized.  We weren't exactly sure what it meant to be Welfare Country Office Missionaries right at first, but over the next few months we learned more about what our responsibilities would be.
